FBOLinx-How to Create an ITP Margin Template

How to Create an ITP Margin Template, Rev 11.23.2022
  1. When you log in, you will be directed to the dashboard. Click the "ITP Margin Templates" tab. See Screenshot A.
    1. NOTE: "ITP" stands for Into Plane.
  2. To create a new ITP margin template, click the blue "Add New" button in the upper right corner of your screen. See Screenshot B.
  3. A window will pop-up that says, "New Margin Template." See Screenshot C.
  4. The first step is to name your template on the line that says, "Margin Name." See Screenshot C.
    1. Note: This name is only seen internally. Flight departments who are assigned this ITP rate do not see the margin name.
    2. The "Default" toggle to the right of "Margin Name" should only be toggled on if you want this pricing template to be quoted to customers who are either added to the FuelerLinx system, or who were previously assigned an ITP template, but had their ITP template deleted before being re-assigned.
      1. For example, if a new flight department is added in the FuelerLinx network, they will be assigned the default ITP template and will be quoted at that rate.
    3. Click Next.
  5. The next screen page you will see will be identical to Screenshot D.
    1. You have the option of making your ITP margin either a cost plus or retail minus.
    2. You can also choose to make the discount type a flat per gallon discount or a percentage discount.
    3. After you choose what type of ITP template you want to create, you can enter the Cost + or Retail - amount.
      1. NOTE: You can add as many volume tiers as you'd like!
    4. The column that says "Your ITP Margin" is where you enter the amount of your Cost + or Retail -. For example, if you want to create a Cost + $1.50 template, you would type "1.50" in this section. Once you click out of this line, the "Total" column will update with the all-in price.
      1. NOTE: The flight department only sees the all-in price. They do not see if they're assigned a Cost + or Retail -.
    5. To add volume tiers, click the blue "Add New" button in the "Volume Tiers" table.
      1. NOTE: When adding volume tiers, only enter numbers in the "Min. (gal)" section. The will end the previous tier at 1 Gallon below what you input into the next tier's new minimum.
    6. Click Next.
    7. See Screenshot E.
  6. The next step is to assign an email template to the ITP rate you've created. (See the "How to Create an Email Template Guide."
    1. Assigning an email template to an ITP margin template is important for a number of reasons:
      1. (1) Assigning an email template to an ITP template allows you to send a pricing email out to customers who you've assigned this ITP template to.
      2. (2) Assigning an email template to an ITP template also allows you to send prices to customers who aren't in the FuelerLinx network. So long as you enter an email for a flight department, and assign that flight department to an ITP template, you're able to send them pricing regardless of if they're in the FuelerLinx network or not!
        1. See the "Customer Manager Guide" for more information on the Customer Manager section of FBOLinx.
      3. See Screenshot F.
    2. You're almost done! The final step is to insert a fuel note in the "Fuel Notes" section. This is a note that will be visible to all FuelerLinx customers who (1) are assigned to this ITP template and (2) request a quote from your FBO. It will also be visible to any customers outside of the FuelerLinx network who are assigned to this ITP template.
      1. The fuel note doesn't have to be very formal! Examples include: Hours of operation, a quick thank you, or a list of services provided by your FBO!
